When an interface is properly executed, it moves beyond simple function and engages the user on multiple levels. It challenges with concept, personal voice, narrative and a unique approach. There are moments of discovery and revelation. There are moments of empathy and resistance. There is immediate gratification with the opportunity to explore at deeper levels. The user should leave changed in some way, however long or short the encounter.
